Safe Scooting

As a Travelwise school many children like to scoot to school. To ensure everyone is safe on their scooters this week Constable Gordon ran Scoot Skill session for our Year Two students. We know it important to check for traffic when scooting on the footpath.
Great to see everyone with a helmet on!

Travelwise Back to School Campaign

As a Travelwise school we know how important it is to keep our walkers safe so at the beginning of this term our school councillors took part in the Travelwise 'Back to School' Campaign. With their signs and fluoro jackets they were a very visible reminder to drivers that children are around so to be safe they should slow down.
Slow Down - Children Around!

Victoria Avenue School Graduates!

Earlier this year we graduated as an official Wastewise School. To acknowledge this achievement we were presented with this sign which is now proudly displayed in our school grounds.

Avenue Art Amble

Our school environment had a few amazing additions this week with art sculptures displayed for all to view.  There were all sorts of bug, beetles, flowers and even buildings on display.
Room 14 recycled tin cans to make some colourful wind chimes while Room 13 and 19 decorated our trees with colour.

The Year Three tree of hands reminds that is takes all our hands to care for our environment.
